Alongside the link school programme, ExxonMobil Fawley operates a #SolveItWithSTEM initiative. This initiative helps teachers to show how the school curriculum is relevant to working life, while students gain an appreciation of the importance of industry to their local economy and the skills needed for the world of work.
Fawley also works alongside organisations to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects to young people. The Fawley site has a large pool of volunteers who regularly visit schools to bring STEM alive through interactive learning and fun activities. In addition, we are long-time supporters of events such as Big Bang Solent and Get Inspired New Forest and Southampton which are designed to give young people an insight into potential career and work opportunities in the local area.
