Esso contributes to the Big Night In for COVID-19

During these challenging times we’re working to help maintain vital energy and product supplies while ensuring the health and safety of our global workforce. Around the world ExxonMobil companies are using production facilities to increase supplies of isopropyl alcohol for hand sanitiser and polypropylene for medical gowns and masks, applying technical expertise to expand the availability of protective equipment for frontline workers, and providing support for communities impacted by COVID-19.

Now, through Esso’s UK-wide partnership with Nectar, we are delighted to support the Comic Relief and BBC Children in Need's ‘Big Night In’ fundraising appeal to assist people and local communities in the UK badly affected by the coronavirus crisis. In addition to financial donations, the public are able to support the appeal by gifting their Nectar points, and Esso will help to boost the appeal with a contribution worth 50 million Nectar points.

As a result of Esso’s contribution, the charities will receive £250,000.

You can watch the ‘Big Night In’ on BBC 1 and iPlayer at 7pm this Thursday, 23 April and everyone can join in. If you’re a Nectar card holder, you can donate your points from your Nectar account. All public donations will be matched by Nectar so your donations will go twice as far. The UK Government will also match public donations to the appeal up to a value of £20 million.
