FEP donation helps Swifts coaches play smarter!
The Swifts FC – which has more than 500 players from 4 years up to seniors, including women’s and walking football teams – from all over Fife, has hit the back of the net with a grant of £5,000 from the ExxonMobil plant.
Now many of the teams’ 100 plus coaches will be top of the league in the football fashion stakes with their new branded tracksuits and T-shirts bought with the donation.
The club has two training hubs, Dalgety Bay Leisure Centre and the Ballast Bank in Inverkeithing, with Dalgety Bay the home ground for its senior team and the winter base for all teams, as it has floodlights.
“Our coaches all give their time voluntarily to support all age groups at the club, and this fantastic support will allow us to provide our children’s and youth team coaches with branded coaching kits,” said Craig Reid, the club’s Chairman. “It means we can show our appreciation to the coaches and increase the sense of community within the club.”
Martin Burrell, Plant Manager at FEP, said: “Sport and fitness are important for everyone’s health and wellbeing, whatever their age, and it is something we encourage in our workers.
“The Swifts play a big role in the local community for many people. We are proud to support them and wish all the teams the best of luck in the future.”
